MSC CRUISES TO OFFER TWO NEW ITINERARIES FROM THE SPANISH CANARY ISLANDS FOR WINTER 2024-25

  • Two new 7-night itineraries on MSC Opera sail to some of the most sought-after destinations, including the Canary Islands, Madeira and Morocco

  • The new winter 2024 – 2025 itineraries can be combined for a 14-night sailing

Geneva, Switzerland – February 21, 2024 MSC Cruises, the world’s third largest cruise line, will base a ship in the Canary Islands for the first time. Sailings will start during the winter 2024-2025 season and are now available for booking, the company announced today.

MSC Opera will have two distinct 7-night itineraries with the option to embark in Las Palmas, Gran Canaria on Fridays and Santa Cruz de Tenerife on Sundays, between Nov. 8, 2024 and March 21, 2025. Each itinerary will offer six ports of call and can be combined to form a 14-night cruise, providing even more fascinating destinations for guests to discover.

Both itineraries will feature extended stays in ports to provide cruisers with ample time to enjoy everything each destination has to offer.

MSC Opera will visit a range of islands in the Canaries, the Portuguese island of Madeira, and Morocco in North Africa. Guests will be able to immerse themselves in each destination’s unique culture, striking landscapes and captivating attractions, while taking advantage of a warm and relaxing climate, perfect for sightseeing and soaking up sun during the winter months.

One of the two itineraries will call in Arrecife, Lanzarote; Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Tenerife; Santa Cruz de la Palma, La Palma; Funchal, Madeira; and Puerto del Rosario, Fuerteventura before returning to Las Palmas.

The other itinerary will visit San Sebastian de la Gomera, La Gomera; Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Tenerife; Funchal, Madeira; Agadir, Morocco; and Arrecife, Lanzarote before returning to Las Palmas.

The Canary Islands are easily accessible with regular international flights to Gran Canaria and Tenerife.

The two new itineraries replace MSC Opera’s previously planned winter 2024-2025 season in the Red Sea, which was cancelled in light of the current risk to shipping in that region.
