SEABOURN ANNOUNCES ADDITIONAL 2026 ANTARCTICA SAILING; OFFERS MORE OPPORTUNITY TO EXPLORE THE GREAT WHITE CONTINENT

SEATTLE, August 7, 2024 Seabourn, the leader in ultra-luxury cruising and expedition travel, has announced an additional departure of its popular Antarctica expedition voyages on its ultra-luxury purpose-built ship, Seabourn Venture. Due to popular demand for its Antarctica expedition voyages, Seabourn has added an 11-day voyage departing March 10-21, 2026. The new departure provides another opportunity for guests to experience The Great White Continent in 2026 and is available to book now on Seabourn’s website.

"Exploring Antarctica in March offers a unique opportunity to witness the stunning landscapes as they transition into winter. This period is ideal for observing peak whale activity, with potential sightings of humpback whales and orcas, along with gentoo penguins and Antarctic fur seals,” said Robin West, Seabourn’s Vice President and General Manager of Expeditions. “Our Antarctica expedition voyages are incredibly popular, and we encourage guests to seize this chance to experience this remarkable continent and learn about the historic voyages of renowned explorers James Weddell, Otto Nordenskjöld, and Fabian Gottlieb von Bellingshausen.”

Between November 2025 and March 2026, Seabourn Venture, along with sister ship Seabourn Pursuit, will offer a series of 11-, 13- and 21-day voyages to Antarctica. All voyages include a pre-cruise charter hotel stay in Buenos Aires and roundtrip charter flights to Ushuaia, from where the ship will depart.

Every Seabourn voyage to Antarctica offers included Zodiac outings to cruise among towering icebergs and landings to join the ship’s Expedition Team to walk and hike across untouched and seldom-seen landscapes. Optional kayaking and submarine excursions will also be available. Weather permitting, examples of locations the ship may visit include the iconic photographic destination of Lemaire Channel; the alien landscape of Deception Island in black, grey and red; and Neko Harbour, a small cove kissed by cold winds, crackling sea ice, and the distant thunder of icebergs tumbling into the sea. In addition, guests receive a complimentary Helly Hansen PolarShield parka, featuring an outer shell and a removable insulator puff jacket, and WaterShield waterproof backpack.

Seabourn’s Antarctica expedition voyages will also offer the new ‘Image Masters’ program, a hands-on masterclass designed to sharpen the camerawork of guests via an intimate photography workshop. The program will provide in-the-field instruction on photo composition, camera technique, editing, and retouching, all led by the accomplished, onboard nature photographer. Guests interested can learn more about the program on Seabourn’s website.

Launched in 2022, Seabourn Venture offers the same luxurious small ship experience that travelers have come to expect from Seabourn, enhanced by world-class equipment that allows the line to offer its widest range of expedition activities led by an expert 24-person expedition team of elite, world-renowned scientists, scholars, naturalists, and more. Designed and built for remote, diverse environments to PC6 Polar Class standards, the ship includes a plethora of modern hardware and technology that extends the ship’s global deployment and capabilities. There is close to 30,000 square feet of deck space and special touches at every turn, as well as indoor and outdoor guest areas with nearly 270-degree views. In addition, a 4K GSS Cineflex Camera is mounted on the mast of the Constellation Lounge and capable of broadcasting imagery from miles ahead on monitors located throughout the ship and in guest suites.

The ship is also equipped with enhanced Wi-Fi connectivity with SpaceX’s Starlink, providing its expedition guests with faster service, greater connectivity, and more reliable Wi-Fi wherever Starlink’s services are available.

Seabourn Venture, like the rest of the ships in the Seabourn fleet, offers an abundance of space and elegance, eight dining experiences serving gourmet cuisine, and luxurious all-suite accommodations, including a pair of two-level Wintergarden suites.
