Carnival Cruise Line’s new flagship Carnival Celebration arrived in Grand Turk today, making the ship’s first call to a Caribbean port. The ship is currently sailing its inaugural voyage, a special six-day Thanksgiving cruise.

Carnival Cruise Line’s 50th birthday celebration is ready for the grand finale, and it involves a spectacular gift to its guests as the company took delivery of Carnival Celebration, the fleet’s newest Excel-class ship and sister to Mardi Gras, at a signing ceremony at Meyer Turku in Turku, Finland.

Carnival Ecstasy is beginning its final cruise today, and the ship that has carried nearly 5.5 million guests on fun and memorable vacations since 1991 brought many longtime Carnival cruisers to Mobile, Ala. to embark on the farewell voyage. The sold-out five-day cruise, which includes visits to Cozumel and Progreso, Mexico, is the last of more than 2,300 voyages for the ship.

In celebration of World Space Week, Carnival Cruise Line announced today that it is partnering with Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex to launch a children’s space program with activities inspired by NASA science, which will debut on Carnival Celebration this November.

After announcing last Friday that it was revising pre-cruise vaccination and testing requirements that will allow more guests to sail, Carnival Cruise Line said today that its booking activity for Monday, Aug. 15 was nearly double the level for the equivalent day in 2019.

Carnival Cruise Line today announced protocol updates that meet public health goals but recognize the evolving nature of COVID-19. With these changes, America’s Cruise Line is making it easier for more guests to sail with simplified vaccination and testing guidelines, including no testing for vaccinated guests on sailings less than 16 nights, and eliminating the exemption request process for unvaccinated guests, who will only need to show a negative test result at embarkation.

In a year of many milestones – including its 50th Birthday – Carnival Cruise Line has reached another important mark, welcoming three million guests since the restart of guest operations in July 2021, amidst a busy summer season across its fleet of 23 ships.
