Virgin Voyages Resilient Lady
2 Night Red Hot Resilient Lady Retreat Cruise - November 21, 2024
We're excited to be setting sail aboard Virgin Voyages' Resilient Lady for the exclusive 2-night Red Hot Resilient Lady Retreat, an invitation-only sailing for First Mates (travel advisors). These special events give travel advisors the opportunity to experience the ship firsthand, connect with the Virgin Voyages team, and learn more about the onboard experience so we can better serve our clients.
Although it's only a two-night getaway, we're looking forward to exploring the ship, sampling some of Virgin's incredible dining, experiencing the entertainment, and, of course, enjoying a little time to relax!

Embarkation Day
From the moment we stepped onboard, the excitement was contagious!
After boarding Resilient Lady, our first stop was our cabin to drop off our luggage and check out our Sea Terrace stateroom. One of our favorite Virgin Voyages features is the signature red hammock on the balcony, and we were excited to have one for this quick getaway.
We met up with friends at Sip Lounge, where I started with a Make Me Blush cocktail. It's become a bit of a tradition every time I sail with Virgin Voyages! From there, we made our way over to On the Rocks to enjoy the pre-sail away atmosphere.
Soon it was time to officially kick off the cruise at the Sail Away Party with the fabulous Resident Diva. Complimentary sparkling wine in hand, we celebrated as Resilient Lady sailed out of Miami.
That evening, we met up with fellow First Mates for dinner at Pink Agave, one of our favorite restaurants onboard. This stylish Mexican restaurant is one of Virgin Voyages' included specialty dining venues, serving creative, elevated Mexican cuisine in a vibrant atmosphere. It's a restaurant we look forward to every time we sail with Virgin.
I ordered two of my favorites: Esquites (Mexican street corn) and Camarón Amarillo, while Jay couldn't resist his favorite, the Bistec Marinero en Escabeche. The food was just as delicious as we remembered and the perfect way to kick off our first evening onboard.
After dinner, we headed to The Red Room to watch Persephone, an incredible theatrical production that perfectly showcased Virgin Voyages' creative style of entertainment.
Of course, no Virgin Voyages evening is complete without pizza, so we grabbed a late-night slice before heading back to our stateroom.
Sea Day
We eased into the morning with a delicious brunch at Razzle Dazzle.
I ordered the Razzle Dazzle Breakfast, while Jay went with his favorite, the refreshing Açaí Bowl. Both were the perfect way to start a relaxing sea day.
After brunch, we spent the afternoon lounging by the pool with friends, soaking up the beautiful weather and enjoying everything Resilient Lady had to offer.
Although this sailing was essentially a "cruise to nowhere," Resilient Lady did make a brief technical stop in Bimini, Bahamas overnight to comply with international maritime regulations. Since it wasn't an official port call, guests weren't permitted to disembark.
That evening was the event everyone had been waiting for... Scarlet Night!
We changed into our best red attire and started the festivities with pre-dinner drinks at Sip Lounge before meeting up with friends for dinner at The Wake, Virgin Voyages' elegant steak and seafood restaurant.
I started with a Wedge Salad, followed by a perfectly cooked Filet Mignon served with asparagus. Jay ordered the Clam Chowder, New Zealand Lamb Chops, and finished the meal with a delicious Apple Tatin for dessert. It was another fantastic meal and the perfect way to fuel up before an evening of Scarlet Night festivities.
After dinner, the ship came alive with Scarlet Night celebrations. We wandered from one event to another, enjoying the music, entertainment, and high-energy atmosphere before wrapping up the evening at the unforgettable Scarlet Night Pool Party.
Miami, FL
The next morning, we woke up back in Miami far sooner than we would have liked.
After packing our bags, we enjoyed one last breakfast at The Galley before disembarking. The cruise flew by, but it gave us an even greater appreciation for everything Virgin Voyages offers. Experiencing the ship firsthand allows us to better match our clients with the right cruise, share personal recommendations, and answer questions from our own experience.
The best part? We don't have to wait too long to return. We'll be back onboard Resilient Lady in March for a 10-night voyage, and we can't wait to experience even more of what this beautiful ship has to offer.
Until then... Happy Cruising!
