Holland America Line is continuing to bolster its longer voyages departing from a North America homeport, and the 2024 Grand Australia and New Zealand Voyage is the newest addition. Holland America Line is further simplifying the protocols for guests to travel. The latest update to the line’s “Travel Well” COVID-19 protocols removes the need for guests on most voyages to take a pre-cruise COVID-19 test, regardless of their vaccination status.

Holland America Line’s Rotterdam VII departed the city of Rotterdam, the Netherlands, today on its historic 150th Anniversary Transatlantic Crossing. The 15-day journey recreates Holland America Line’s maiden voyage of Rotterdam I that departed the city 150 years ago today. The crossing follows the path of that first sailing to New York, with calls at Le Havre, France, and Plymouth, England.

Holland America Line is celebrating the kick-off of its 150th Anniversary this month with an offer that includes popular perks and a sweepstakes where the grand prize winner can choose from among a selection of cruises up to 21 days. From Oct. 14 through Nov. 15, 2022, guests who book 2023 and available 2024 cruises will receive up to a $150 onboard credit, a complimentary Alaska shore excursion and 50% reduced deposits.

On Holland America Line’s Grand Africa Voyage, wanderlusters can go in search of Africa’s “Big Five” and experience a diverse collection of cultures across the vast continent — all without international air travel from the United States or with a convenient flight from Canada. Grand Africa is among the newest additions to Holland America Line’s collection of longer cruises, giving guests another way to see the world from their doorstep.

Under the simplified procedures, for most voyages up to 15 nights, vaccinated guests will no longer have to test before cruising and unvaccinated guests will be welcomed with a self-test within three days of sailing.

Holland America Line’s guests and team members celebrated an important milestone this weekend, marking one full year of a return to sailing after the cruise industry pause due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
